Garment Tracker Update: February
Another month in to tracking every single thing I wear in 2025!
Is it just me, or does February somehow feel like one of the longest months of the year, despite actually being the shortest?
I’ve continued to keep up with my garment tracking for yet another month, and I have more data to share! So far, I’m feeling like my Garment Tracker has positively impacted by dressing and shopping habits. There’s definitely a sense of accountability that comes with making record of something, and I think that my spreadsheet is inspiring me in both directions. I’ve found myself excited to input something “new” from my closet, because it means I’m really getting use out of what I already own. At the same time, I’m also proud to see the dates add up alongside my favorite pieces, because a core pillar of strong personal style is repetition.
I’ve been increasingly mindful of my shopping and consumption habits in the last decade, and I’m really curious to see what that actually looks like from a numerical perspective by the end of the year. As a former fast fashion addict, my perspective is undoubtedly skewed. Am I really buying that much less, or does it just feel like less in comparison to the serious overconsumption of my teens and 20’s?
