Cannot think of anything worse for my wallet than antique textiles, old signs, and fair food...

I am not a budgeter.

…which is why I’ll be turning 34 next week with a lot of credit card debt. Embarrassingly, this includes debt for my business. My six years of industry experience seem to fade into nothingness the moment my feet sink into the well-worn carpets of an estate sale, my negative balances a distant memory as soon as I hear the familiar squeak of hangers sliding down the racks of the thrift store. I’ve admittedly had a problem with shopping for most of my adult life, and selling vintage professionally has forced me to grapple with my overconsumption habits in a more serious way.

After three full whirlwind days, I came home with one large Hulken and one Costco beach wagon spilling over with incredible vintage. I walked approximately 13 miles, did 6 loads of laundry at the house I shared with my friends, and spent…
