When it comes to finding vintage and secondhand pieces, we all know the obvious sources. Like most other vintage aficionados, I definitely spend my fair share of time scrolling eBay, perusing thrift stores, and digging through estate sales. But being a professional vintage dealer means I also need to get creative. I’m almost always in “sourcing mode,” constantly thinking about where I might be able to find a hidden vintage gem. I’ll be sharing some of my unconventional sources here, including the thought process behind how I found them, and why they work. The common thread is always conversation. Talk to people, ask questions, be nice. You never know what you’ll find.
